Instead of just having a tasty cookie, the chocolate coating instantly takes you to the candy bar level. Have you ever made your own candy bars? Well with this recipe, you will! What's more, this recipe makes 18 cookies–that's just the right number for feeding a crowd! Of course, you can always keep some in the fridge and enjoy them all on your own over a few days. Sometimes we get in the mood for something a little sweet, but we don't have the time to run to the store or spend a ton of time baking. If this sounds like you, then you'll absolutely love this recipe! It only calls for a handful of ingredients and about 20 minutes in the kitchen. You will be blown away by the simplicity of this keto-friendly dessert.
Be sure to choose ingredients for the cookies that stick to the keto diet. You will want to get a peanut butter that is made with just peanuts and maybe some salt. There should be no added sugar or corn syrup to the mix. If you are feeling extra ambitious, grind your own peanuts in a food processor to make fresh peanut butter- that would be impressive!
You should also use the darkest chocolate you can find. The darker chocolate will have less sugars and also be much more healthy. Dark chocolate has lots of antioxidants and is naturally low in carbs. You can also use a keto chocolate brand like Lily's which is sweetened with zero carb sweeteners, giving your chocolate a sweet taste but still sticking to the keto guidelines. Choose that chocolate wisely!
When is the perfect time to enjoy this little treat? Absolutely any time. You can whip them up quickly for an after-dinner snack, but they are tasty enough to serve up at your next gathering. Everybody is sure to crowd around the dessert table when you serve up these delicious cookies!
In case you're wondering about all that sweetness, you'll be happy to learn that this dessert tastes great AND happens to be sugar-free. The sweetness is derived from sugar-free maple syrup and stevia-sweetened dark chocolate chips. That's it! There's plenty of sweetness to go around without all of that unnecessary sugar.
Whip up your very own batch and see for yourself why this dessert is an instant favorite. It's just too good to pass up!
