With most mug cakes, the ingredients are mixed together in a bowl or right in a large mug. Then, the cake is microwaved for a few minutes and out pops a beautifully baked cake, just for you! No need to turn on the oven or make a full sized cake when you can just make a mug cake instead. Who knew you could bake a cake in the microwave! You can seriously have fresh cake whenever you want. No need to go to a bakery or make a whole cake ever again!
Not only are mug cakes great because they can be quickly made in a microwave but they can also help you with portion control. This recipe for a cinnamon mug cake is very straight forward and will create a very fluffy, warm cake full of rich cinnamon tastes. However, to take it a step further, we topped the cake with a tahini frosting that takes the cake to the next level. You can choose to skip the frosting if you are in a rush or want to save a few calories but it adds to the savory and sweetness of the dessert that you should definitely try at least once.
