Eating keto means increasing your fat intake significantly. Once your body enters into the metabolic state of ketosis, healthy fats will be your fuel. So, when you are feeling low on energy, you need to eat some healthy fats! That is why people on keto diets swear by fat bombs. People on other diets may look at a fat bomb and think that it is unhealthy but, all keto followers know that fat bombs are sources of pure energy!
There are a few kinds of fats used in our cinnamon roll fat bomb recipe and all will give you the boost of energy that you may be searching for. We have used cream cheese, grass-fed butter, and also almond butter to make this snack. Each of these ingredients have beneficial, healthy fats that also taste delicious. However, let’s take a closer look at grass-fed butter as it may not be something you have in your pantry already but you should definitely look in to!
Regular butter is basically just milk fat that comes from cows in mass commercial settings. These cows often eat unhealthy grains, are fed antibiotics, and can get quite sick in their unnatural setting. The poor living conditions of the cows is reflected in their butter which has few natural nutrients.
Grass-fed butter, on the other hand, comes from cows who have been allowed to graze on grass pastures. These cows produce milk that has more healthy fats, fat-soluble vitamins, more omega-3’s and omega 6’s, and fewer toxins. Of course, when you choose to cook with grass-fed butter, you get all of these benefits! People who choose grass-fed butter over traditional butter have been shown to have fewer heart attacks and a lower risk of heart disease in general. Making the switch to grass-fed butter is very easy and since you will likely consume a lot of butter when on the keto diet, it is a good idea to give it a try!
Whip up this cinnamon roll fat bomb recipe today and enjoy the healthy, energy-boosting fats, the delicious winter flavors, and the quick snack that this recipe helps you make!
