Tasty Fat Bombs for a Keto Diet
If you are following a strict keto diet, you may already be familiar with fat bombs as they are a super popular snack for a low carb diet. However, you may not know what a fat bomb really is or how it helps your body. Here is a little information about fat bombs that will get you even more excited for this mouthwatering strawberry cheesecake version.
Fat bombs are typically made with a mix of butter, coconut oil, cream cheese, nuts, and seeds. They are loaded with fats and have little to no carbs. When you are on a ketogenic diet, your body is in a state of ketosis where it is burning fats as fuel rather than carbs. That means, when your body needs energy, you need to consume fats to get that energy.
Fat bombs are the perfect snack for keto followers to eat in order to get an energy boost. Pop a delicious fat bomb in your mouth and you just provided your body with healthy energy to use! Fat is also essential to help the body absorb vitamins and nutrients so these little balls of fat help with this as well. Seems like a great snack!
The most common type of fat bomb tends to be made with cocoa powder or dark chocolate as these are delicious, sweet additions that are high in fat and low in carbs. Yet, sometimes, you may not want chocolate. That is when you should reach for this strawberry cheesecake fat bomb recipe. No chocolate involved but the tasty fat bomb energy treat is just as amazing (if not more so) than any chocolate version.
Making this keto snack is quite simple. Primarily, you just need to blend all the ingredients together well. Beating everything until very fluffy is key as it makes the fat bombs taste light and air while still being loaded with beneficial, energizing fats. Once mixed, you simply scoop the batter into a silicone mold (any shape will do!). An ice cube tray will work as well and is something many people likely have on hand.
Into the freezer the tray goes and, in about two hours, your frozen fat bombs will be ready to be eaten and give you a fantastic burst of energy that you will surely need when on a keto diet. This particular fat bomb recipe is also quite nice to enjoy on a hot day when a cold snack is very welcomed. Refreshing, low carb, energizing, and completely scrumptious is exactly what these fat bombs are!
Enjoy these delicious strawberry cheesecake fat bombs as a dessert, a mid-day snack, or even as a breakfast treat. They are one of the best ways to get energy while on a keto diet and something you will definitely love snacking on. Feel free to switch up the recipe, using blueberries or raspberries in place of strawberries and maybe even adding a touch of unsweetened cocoa powder.
