- 4 slices bacon (chopped)
- 1 1/2 pounds ground lamb
- 1 small yellow onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease an 8x8-inch glass baking dish.
- Cook the bacon until crisp then remove to paper towels with a slotted spoon.
- Reheat the skillet and cook the ground lamb, onion, and garlic – season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook until the lamb is browned then stir in the cream cheese.
- Spread the mixture in the baking dish then sprinkle with the cooked bacon.
- Whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, cheddar cheese, mustard, salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the casserole ingredients and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and browned. Serve hot.
