- 1 (14.5-ounce) can green beans
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dried onions
- salt and pepper
- 3 ounces shredded cheese (your choice)
- Drain the green beans and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Heat the heavy cream and cream cheese in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until the cream cheese is melted then whisk smooth.
- Add the soy sauce and dried onions and cook until thickened, stirring often.
- Stir in the green beans and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread the mixture in a small casserole dish and sprinkle with cheese.
- Preheat the broiler and broil until the cheese is melted and browned. Serve hot.
